Data Deletion Instructions
You can request deletion of personal information associated with the Howtomation Social + Booking service, including information received through an authorised Facebook or Instagram connection.
Request deletion by email
- Email [email protected] with the subject Social Booking Data Deletion Request.
- State the Facebook Page or business you contacted and provide enough information to locate the relevant booking or conversation, such as the approximate date and the email address or phone number used.
- Do not send passwords, access tokens, payment card details or identity documents unless Howtomation specifically provides a secure verification method.
- We will acknowledge the request, verify that we have identified the correct records, delete or anonymise eligible records from active systems, and confirm completion.
Remove the Facebook connection
You may also remove the Howtomation app or business integration from your Facebook settings. Where Meta sends Howtomation a valid deletion request, we will identify and delete the related app data in accordance with our retention and legal obligations.
What will be deleted
Depending on how the service was used, deletion may cover app-scoped identifiers, Page message content stored by Howtomation, booking contact details and related conversation records. Aggregated or de-identified operational data that no longer identifies you may be retained.
Records we may need to retain
We may retain limited information where reasonably required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, accounting or another legal obligation. Any retained information will remain restricted to that purpose and will be deleted when the applicable retention requirement ends.
Backup copies
Eligible records are removed from active systems first. Residual copies may remain temporarily in secured backups until those backups expire or are overwritten under Howtomation's backup retention process.
